Astillero Marina completes installation of a new concrete breakwater

Almarin has completed the replacement of the breakwater located in the San José Dock, at Astillero Marina (Cantabria). The Astillero City Council promoted the project to improve the shelter conditions of its marina, located in the San Salvador Estuary, next to Gaztañeta Square.

Together with Rekalde, Almarin removed the old pontoons and supplied and installed 45 meters of floating concrete breakwater, 3 meters wide, from the Lindley brand. As part of the works, five existing piles were also repaired and reinforced with semicircular casings, and new mooring rings were installed.

During the execution of the project, Almarin implemented a maritime buoyage system to ensure safe navigation.
