Its specialty within this niche market is the development and manufacture of navigation buoys and marine beacons, which stand out for their innovation and quality. Almarin's technical staff is in constant search of optimal solutions to solve the challenges of its customers, with countless innovations in the most extreme conditions around the world. In its beacons and buoys, Almarin incorporates maritime lanterns and other electronic equipment from the world's first manufacturer, SPX, which includes the Sabik, Carmanah and Vega brands. Almarin is part of Lindley Group, which is formed by four companies established since 1930, with 90 years of experience in the supply and manufacture of harbour and industrial equipment and infrastructure.

Since 2008, Almarin is a member of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA). This entity provides guidelines and recomendations for the design of aids to navigation; Almarin incorporates the majority of the association’s recommendations into the design of its products.
