Almarin renews the daymarks in the Port of Vilagarcía (Spain)

New onshore marine beacons in Vilagarcía (Spain)

The Port Authority of Vilagarcía de Arousa has commissioned Almarin to renew the posts for daytime signaling in the port of Vilagarcía. Following the removal of the previous beacons, the company has recently supplied and installed five new poles located in the interior area of ??the port. With the implementation of this new maritime beacon, both daytime visibility has been improved, thanks to poles with a larger diameter, and safety, since they have access stairs (only at the top to prevent unauthorized access) and a structure guardrails so that port personnel can operate comfortably.

The new beacons belong to the Almarin ALT 3 range, four meters high, made of galvanized steel sheet and with support for the flashlight. Three marks are starboard (green) and one is port (red), all of which are delimited with a white strip of one meter at the bottom to cause greater contrast, and a main mark starboard (red with green stripe), complying with the State Ports and IALA requirements for daytime signaling. Since 2008, Almarin has been a member of the International Association of Aids to Maritime Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA).
