The fish area of the Port of Huelva extends its berthing line with a pontoon

The Port Authority of Huelva has expanded the fishing area at the North Levante Dock. Almarin, the awarded contractor, has extended the berthing line by 96 meters in front of the fish market on the Odiel River, aiming to meet the berthing demand of fishing vessels.

The works include the installation of a moored concrete floating pontoon made up of eight 12×3 meter modules and an intermediate aluminum floating pontoon measuring 6×3 meters, which will support the gangway and serve as the transition to the main berthing pontoon. The access gangway is 24 meters long and 2 meters wide, and its articulated design allows it to absorb height variations between the floating pontoon and the quay caused by the tides. All floating structures belong to the manufacturer Lindley. Additionally, Almarin has supplied marine buoys to mark the area and ensure safe navigation.
