Almarin has carried out the supply, installation and commissioning of the new sectorized lantern for the beacon of the Port of Burela. The new ODSL 200 sector LED equipment has a range of up to 10 nautical miles and consists of three rings, one green and two red, with the improvement, compared to the previous marine lantern, of being programmed with a broader alignment to encompass Pedra Burela. In addition, the marine aid has been supplied with a superior protector for better conservation of the equipment in case of storm.

According to Portos de Galicia, which finances and promotes this action, the proper functioning of this navigation aid is essential to maintain the safety of the landfall in this port where traditional vessels lack electronic navigation aids on board. Ten years ago Portos de Galicia already trusted Almarin to install the first LED sector lantern in Burela.
