The Port of Luanda improves its marking
21-11-2022
Almarin has been selected by a local partner, Geosurveys, which has won the public tender issued by the Port of Luanda, to supply and install buoys and maritime beacons at the entrance to the bay of the Port of Luana and Mussulo.
The marking system consists of a total of ten buoys, Guia model with W structure, made with a polyurethane elastomer coating and filled with closed-cell polyethylene. The buoys, with a diameter of 2.2 meters, are six of them red and four green. All buoys are equipped with M860 self-contained lanterns with monitoring.
Likewise, two new LED lanterns of the most advanced technology, with low consumption and with Bluetooth, with their respective solar panels and batteries, have been installed in the lighthouses of Ilha do Cabo and Lagostas. The onshore beacons have also been repainted to improve their daytime visibility.
