New marking in Andalusian ports
15-06-2022
Due to the storms at the beginning of the year, there have been several landfalls in the mouths of the Mediterranean ports. The effects were especially strong in Andalusia. These embankments involves a safety problem in maritime navigation, since the mouths see their draft reduced. This phenomenon forces the dredging of the mouth, but first it must be marked until the dredging means can carry out the pertinent work.
For this reason, the Public Agency for Ports of Andalusia (APPA) has awarded Almarin the supply and installation of eight B1250A navigation buoys. Six of them have been installed in different ports and the other two have been stored to face future similar situations. Due to its limited weight, easy installation and storage, as well as its compliance with the regulations of the State Ports, this buoy is the most suitable for this type of application.
Almarin maintains a stock at its facilities, both of the navigation buoys and the marine lanterns, in order to provide a quick response in the event of strong storms.
