B1600S model has a low height hull and a 1600 mm diameter hull. The underwater body is skail type subsurface design. Three mooring eyes allow for single or double mooring configuration. The shape of its subsurface hull makes the B1600S the most suitable model for use in areas with strong currents, as well as for the marking of shallow waters. 

It has a rotomolded polyethylene hull filled with EPS and a superstructure made of steel, galvanized and painted. It incorporates day markings, radar reflector and painted stainless steel top mark.

It is an optimal buoy for beacons between 1 NM to 3 NM of nominal range. These buoys are used for beaconing of ports, channels and rivers, beaconing of shallows, delimiting of work areas and provisional installations.
